/February 17, 06// ...
Don't even start.
Okay, so, first off, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year and Happy Valentine's day.
And next...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE HOTTEST MAN ON THE PLANET, BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG!
As you guys can see, Green Day found a way to share the cover of a Sweedish girl magazine with a small girl.
Some
good news though, is that Green Day are on the list of the most earned musicians. Congrats to Green Day on making 99 Million dollars!
Green Day won both awards they were nominated for at the 2006 Brit Awards. They won 'Best International Band' and 'Best International Album'.
Green Day picked up the Grammy for "Record of the Year" with Boulevard of Broken Dreams. You can download the video
of the acceptance speech here. Billie Joe also presented the award for "Rock Album of the Year" with Gwen Stefani to U2. You can download that video
here. (to download the videos click the links, wait about 50 seconds and on the top right you'll see "Click here to download".
Just click that link and it will prompt you to save the video) Green Day also joined the "Grammy Auctions" for the
Grammy Foundation. You can bid on an autographed Epiphone here.
Green Day picked up two nominations
for the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards: Favorite Group & Favorite Song for Wake Me Up. Read more.
Green Day is in the newest "M" magazine. There's a full page picture of Billie (click the image to the left), and a page about
Bilile and Adie. Click here. They also have his birthday on there coming up this month, and a stupid little "blog rumor" about Green Day and Fall Out
Boy. Don't waste your money buying it, unless you are absolutely desperate for the poster. *shifty eyes* Editors, stop putting
Green Day in little girl magazines.
Green Day has been nominated for three Australian Music Video Awards.
Best Group Best Rock Video Wake Me Up When September EndsVideo of the Year Wake
Me Up When September EndsThe show is April 12, 2006. Green Day is also in the February 13th issue of "People
Magazine". The short article basically says what we already know, that Green Day should win "Record of the year" at the Grammy's.
Read the scan here. (Note, I got these scans from GDA)
Road To The Grammys: The Making Of
Green Day's 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' (VH1): Read it.
If you're not sure that you want
to buy Live Freaky, Die Freaky, then GDA has written a review for you to make your own judgement. Click here to view it.
'Kay, so on February 1, it was twelve
years ago that Dookie was released. So, if you haven't already, have a beer, and if you're underage, have a soda. ;)
Billie Joe is on the cover of this months "Guitar Legends" magazine. They chose "Wake Me Up" as one of the biggest songs
of the year. Inside (pg. 80) they have 'Wake Me Up' written out with all the guitar tab. There is also a decent sized poster
of Billie Joe inside ( view). So if you're intrested go out and buy it. You can click the cover on the left to view it full size.
Gibson will be coming out with a Billie Joe Les Paul JR Signature Series sometime later this year
(click image on right to expand). As you may know, Mike already has his Fender Signature Bass, and back in 1998 'Slingerland' put out the Tré Cool Spitfire Signature Series (view)(remember that these scans are from GDA..) Seems like we nearly got a Green Day line of instruments
going.
You guys can vote for Green Day in the NME Awards for "Best International Band" here.
Hey
everyone. Make sure to check out www.greenday.com as they have a nice long post with tons of stuff about awards and things they were nominated for this
past year. Rather than trying to summarize or quote it, just check it out for yourselves.

Green Day sponsored and autographed a 10ft guitar that will be auctioned off in Phoenix, AZ Feburary 4th. The money raised
from the auctions will go to support the 'Big Brothers Big Sisters' and the 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'. Click here to check out the Green Day guitar, and click here for more information about the auction.
Billie Joe and Mike were at the People's Choice Award show, where they won the award for Favorite Group. Billie explained

Group, Rock Artist of the Year, Rock Song of the Year (BOBD), Hot 100 Group, and Modern Rock Artist of the Year. Click here to read more highlights from the show.

"Live Freaky Die Freaky" will be released January 31, 2006. The movie will play in a few select theaters in the US on the
27th and 28th of January. You can pre-order the DVD and soundtrack on Amazon. Visit livefreakydiefreaky.com for more information on the film.
Green Day has been nominated for the 'Record of the Year' Grammy. The award show will be February 8th held
in Los Angeles.
/November 6, 05// Happy late Halloween!
'K, so there's a bunch of news to hand out.
First off, Green Day picked up two awards (Best Album and Best Rock) at the EMA's (Europe Music
Awards) and were the big winners at the show, since they were the only group/artist to pick up more than one award. The guys
also played Holiday at the show. Read this article to read more.
Lucky for us Canadian fans. This Saturday (November 12) MuchMusic will play one full hour of the new
DVD, Bullet in a Bible. It will also be on for the rest of the week as well. For those in the US, MTV2 will play the full
hour as well, commercial free.
On MTV, there is a little twenty-minute clip straight from the Bullet in a Bible DVD. It's an awesome
clip, featuring four performances (American Idiot, Are We The Waiting/St. Jimmy and Holiday) as well as clips of interviews
by the band members themselves. It's totally awesome, so if you want to see it, check that out here. You have to click on one of the links provided (eg. Bullet in a Bible trailer, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams,
American Idiot and the other one that's there) and scroll down to find it. It's called Green Day Bullet in a Bible: Special
or something like that. They have also updated it with three performances from the DVD including Jesus of Suburbia, St. Jimmy
and St. Jimmy the Extended Version (which is just Are We The Waiting and St. Jimmy together).
Don't forget that Green Day will be on Late Night With Conan O'Brien this friday. If you have cable,
then it'll be on Saturday at 12:35 PM but if you have satelite then it'll be on at 10:35 PM on Friday and at 12:35 PM on Saturday.
Green Day has been confirmed as one of the bands to perform at the Billboard Awards December 6th. You
can now watch the 9 minute "Jesus of Suburbia" music video on Yahoo! Launch. November 8th Comedy Central will be re-airing a Mad TV episode from a few years back with
Green Day performing "Blood Sex & Booze".
NME has a competition for tickets to Bullet in a Bible this coming Monday, November 7th, in London's Leicester Square. Even better, Green Day will
be there to introduce the film.
Those of you in the UK can watch Green Day perform "Jesus of Suburbia"
on Top of the Pop's tomorrow at 7pm on BBC 2. Next Friday at 10:30pm be sure to watch "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" on
BBC 1, Green Day will be performing on his show as well.
Billie Joe is on the cover of Rolling Stone, which hit's newstands tomorrow.
Read the article, "Working Class Hero".
MTV Overdrive has posted a great interview with Green Day. They talk
about everything from music videos to politics and even what Green Day is planning for the future. As far as a new album,
Billie Joe said first they need some time off, time to "re-energize", then they'll probably head back to studio in January
or February of next year and "take as long as possible" to get another album out. So even though there isn't a set date for
a new album, I wouldn't expect one 'til late next year or even 2007. You guys can check out the entire interview here.
Don't forget that Bullet in a Bible hits shelves on November 15! They might
not sell it here in Canada, so if not, pre-order it off the internet! You definitely won't regret it, from what I've seen
of it.
There is a new poll up for you guys as well.
/October 9, 05//Okay, I missed some news on October third, so here it goes.
MTV.com has posted a trailer for the "Bullet In A Bible" DVD, and it looks nothing short of amazing.
It's only a minute or two but still very very exciting. Check out the trailer here.
UPDA TE: I know the MTV players don't work for some people, so Green Day Authority has posted the trailer for download.
Go to their video section now to download it.
The AOL show will air 9pm PT / 12am ET. So make sure to stream the special concert then.
Green Day will also be playing on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on November 11th at 12:35AM ET.
Bullet in a Bible will play in select theaters around the USA for one day

Billie Joe and Adrienne are starting their own punk line of clothing. The line will be titled after their record label, Adeline, and will feature both male and female clothes. Many of the shirts
Billie currently wears on tour are those that he designed for the new line. You can expect the clothes to show up sometime
next year.Read Press Release.
The new DVD, "Bullet in a Bible", looks nothing short of amazing. View the trailer here.
/August 25, 05//Green Day won the award for "Best Live Band" and "Best
Band on the Planet" at the Kerrang! Awards 2005. The guys weren't there to accept the awards obviously, but they gave a short
thanks from a pre-recorded acceptance taped before a concert a couple days ago. Click here to see nominees and winners.
Vote for Green Day for the VMA's (MTV Video Music Awards). And head over to www.greenday.com to hear Tre's new audio message.
Also, I've added two quizzes for you to check out and take.
/August 14, 05//Hello! I know it's been over a month since I updated, but
I just forgot. There's a bit of news that I've missed over the past month, so here it goes.
Sadly, one of the Green Day members is sick, cancelling their show for Ohio tonight. The concert is
only postponed, so it'll still happen, but later this month.
Green Day will be performing for the NFL kick off on 9/8/05 at Gillette
Stadium in Foxboro, MA. Check local listings for the broadcast time in your area.
Green Day will be making a real "Jesus of Suburbia" video later this year. Billie Joe quotes
that it'll be sort of a prequel to the American Idiot movie they are planning to make.
And Green Day will be releasing a new album! The band admits that they already have fifteen tracks
down, but don't get to excited. The album probably won't be released until the summer of 2006.
Green Day is leading the pack of nominations for the 2005 VMA's (MTV Video Music Awards) with eight
nominations! The VMA's will air on August 28th on MTV but also on MuchMusic.
They are nominated in the following categories:
"Boulevard of Broken Dreams"
Video of the Year Best Group Video Best Rock Video Best Direction
in a Video Best Cinematography in a Video Best Editing in a Video
"American Idiot"
Video Game Soundtrack (EA's "Madden 2005") Best Art Direction in a
Video
Green Day has pulled their catelog from Lookout! Records not too long ago.
If you have a question for Green Day, you can ask them at the new Idiot Club on www.greenday.com. The website also has the new video on it for watching.
And finally, if you already bought the older DVD "Pogo Paradise", don't waste your money on the new
DVD "Suburbia Bomb". It's the exact same DVD with a different cover and a new name.
There is also a new poll for you to check out, and I've added a new puzzle to the "Quizzes and Other
Fun Stuff" page.
/July 3, 05//No big Green Day news today. For those who missed the Live
8 concert yesterday, they are playing it all over the internet. I don't have links but if I find a place, I'll shall post
it up.
Also, this has officially become my guild website.
/July 2, 05//Happy Anniversary to Billie Joe and Adrienne! (July 2nd 1994.)
Today is their eleventh year anniversary. Don't forget, today MTV and VH1 will play some of the Live 8 concert.
/July 1, 05//No big Green Day news today...MTV and VH1 will air some
of the Live 8 concert on July 2nd. Plus I will have a new poll up for you guys today, and don't forget to sign my guestbook!
/June 29, 05//Remember, Green Day's episode of Driven will premier today
on VH1 at 11:00AM, 10:00PM, and 1:30AM EST. If you don't get VH1 but you get MuchMoreMusic, it'll premier sometime later in
the year, or soon.
/June 28, 05//EMI, a Canadian music company, will be putting out DVD's
around November of this year with show highlights from all of the Live 8 Concerts coming up. Also, don't forget about Green
Day's premier on Driven tomorrow!
/June 27, 05//The director of the Live 8 concert said that the bands playing
the Berlin show (this includes Green Day) may have to pay for themselves, due to the lack of interest and support from banks
to fund the show.
Also, don't forget Green Day's premier on Driven on Wednesday on VH1. Since MuchMoreMusic airs Driven,
I don't believe that they'll air Green Day on Wednesday, but it'll premier later in the year perhaps for those who don't have
VH1 but have MuchMoreMusic instead.
/June 26, 05//No new Green Day news for you today...but MTV and VH1 will
air some of the Live 8 concert. Let's hope they show Green Day. No other news about Green Day but a bit about my website.
I will be adding a chat/tagboard when summer starts and a picture gallery. Also, I've added a puzzle
to "Quizzes and Other Fun Stuff". Check that out when you get the chance. Also to be added to that section, a few quizzes.
Once again, when summer starts. Also, sign my guestbook and vote in the poll! ^^
/June 25, 05//Hi!
This is my first update thing-a-ma-bobber so bear with me. There's a bit of Green Day news for you...
Their episode of Driven will be on Wednesday, June 29th, on VH1. Too bad that Canadians don't get
VH1. -_-
On a sad note, "Green Day Fail to Impress Punk Icon". Very sad. :( You can check that out here
